  1. Love your perspective/point of view on all of these! They are definitely great snapshots of London -- I think my favorite is the last photo of the couple at the end of the alleyway. The shadow frames your subject very well, and the stark contrast between the underexposed alley walls and the small portion of light gives the image a very moody and mysterious feeling.

  2. I really love the picture of St. Paul's Cathedral! The trees make a really nice frame and the green contrasts so beautifully with the warm colors on the building. I also love the last photo of the Oxford Alley. At first, I thought it was underexposed, but as I looked at it more, I really enjoyed how the contrast of the alley and the subject makes it pop even more.

  3. I really love the first photo from St. Paul's Cathedral and how the way you used your angles to make the column seem very strong! The colors in this photo are great and I like the asymmetric thing that happening with the trees and the lines from the building next to the sky!

  5. the picture of st pauls cathedral is so great!! I love the light coming through the trees I think it makes for great contrast and makes the building really stand out as the focal point. great job using the natural area as framing.

  6. My favorite photos are the St. Paul Cathedral Dome and Woman Statue from Highgate Cemetery. Although Henry has posted a similar image of the same woman, I enjoy this perspective as well because the woman is in focus, it's in black and white, and you can see the rest of the graveyard in the background. It also portrays a lot of emotion and depth. I love the green leaves framing the St. Paul Cathedral. I believe you also used this photo to create some negatives, which I think was a brilliant idea, because it's an absolutely gorgeous image. Can't wait to see how the negatives turned out!

  7. The photo of St. Paul's Cathedral is effective because it uses the light being diffused by the tree to direct our eyes to the statue on top of the pillar. You use light very nicely in all of your shots to guide our eyes to the main subject matter.

Your skill of framing each shot is apparent in each of your shots, especially in the second shot of St. Paul's cathedral. The foliage being above the dome makes me feel like nature is overpowering the structure. There is a good balance between lights and darks in this photo as well.

My favorite shot is the Oxford Alley one because it conveys the emotion of the man about to enter the restaurant so well. This image gives me a bittersweet feeling and puts me in a good mood because the man and his wife seem so jolly. The red in the British flag and the green on the awning are great complimentary colors to use because they draw the attention down the alley even more.
